History
Beginnings (1993-1998)
The band was founded in 1993 in Mainz under the name Desîhra. As Desîhra she published no demo and also did not appear publicly, but parts of the written material were used for subsequent Nocte - Obducta songs. After Desîhra dissolved in 1995, remained Marcel Breuer (vocals, guitar), Magic ( guitar) and Christoph Limbach (drums). Benedict ( keyboards and vocals ) came along and you changed its name to Nocte Obducta. After several further line-up changes over the next few years they took in the cast Marcel Breuer ( Cüühn, Thâlsperre, formerly Agathodaimon ) Matthias Rodig ( Age of Aggression, Necrorgasm, formerly Agathodaimon ), Torsten Hirsch ( Agrypnie, formerly Asaru, Area 51 ), Alex and Martin winder ( Agathodaimon ) 1998 Demo But smile on the bloodless lips.
The first seven albums (1999-2005)
The first four albums were released at Grind Syndicate Media and the three albums between 2003 and 2006 Supreme Chaos Records. Over time, it always came back to problems within the band, which led to further changes to the cast. Marcel Breuer was a steady presence as the only founding member of the Desîhra time.
Resolution (2006-2010)
On 17 June 2006, the band announced after the completion of the eighth album resolve sequences of a hike. The reason for their dissolution, the band called on their homepage, among other things, the lack of acceptance of their musical development and internal problems. As a result, there were also disagreements with the record company and the producer, so the work was on the last album suspended until further notice.

The musicians were or have since - sometimes together - active in a number of other projects. Torsten Hirsch founded before the interim resolution of Nocte Obducta in 2004, the band Agrypnie in which Patrick Baumann was between 2008 and 2011 as a bass player also active and acts on behalf of Sebastian Prince since June 2012 as a permanent keyboardist. Marcel Breuer, Stefan and Matthias Rodig founded in 2006 initially planned as a kind Nocte - Obducta follow- band project dinner on Uranus, where the current Nocte - Obducta bassist Heidig is active. Patrick Baumann founded in the same year his solo project Melkor. Matthias Rodig was active in Agathodaimon to 2008, played in the meantime for odium and continue for Mainz Doom metal band Necrorgasm and the Mainzer thrash metal band Age of Aggression. The former bassist Martin " Sathonys " winder continues to play at Agathodaimon guitar. Marcel Breuer and Sebastian Prince also operate a number of other projects, such as Thâlsperre and Cüühn.
Reunion (2010 -present)
In 2009, the band announced a sequel to Black Metal album of 2001, with the participation of various ex-members, to. On 7 August 2011, the band announced that the album in November under the name of Corruption ( The reaper scratches on each door ) to publish. At the reception, some former band members were involved; so the band stated that a total of six members were involved in the singing. Live performances were not initially planned, but were not categorically excluded. In 2012, the band performed, among others on the Party.San and the Time of the Wolf Festival, as well as on the Boarstream and TNT Open Air. Style
The assignment of the band to a certain genre is controversial. Nocte Obductas style is often referred to as " avant-garde Black Metal", because the music is heavily inspired by Black Metal, but the ideology of the band departs from it; on the part of the Black Metal scene therefore came Nocte Obducta usually rejected. Marcel Breuer, rejecting the term " avant-garde" for his music and assigns it to the Black Metal, but not see the band as part of the Black Metal scene. He writes about the song Obsidian to Pechstein:
"We throw up here in gloomy scenarios a little about the so-called BM- scene. "
In the early albums dominated the blast beat parts, but with many breaks. Characteristic was the screeching vocals Marcel Breuer. From Silence EP established a style change. The music was avant-garde and there were elements from other genres added. The blast beats, which were an important part on earlier publications were almost no longer used it came up clean vocals. Nectar and ash were indeed spring back a little harder, put the chosen style but continued. On sequences of a hike the Metal shares disappeared almost completely. On the album there are only two very dark pieces of more than 20 minutes in length with only sparse singing and voice samples. Partial comparisons were drawn with the genres of post-rock and art-rock. The sound quality of the publications is good, a sound, except for the album Black Metal, which was taken on a weekend and has a raw, typical of the early Black Metal demo sound and was seen by some as a parody of the scene.
The lyrics consist inter alia of nature, death and mourning, but also of personal experiences and memories. They are kept in a metaphorical style.
The members of Nocte Obducta come from the punk environment and represented largely left views. Nevertheless, the band was temporarily assigned to the right-wing scene, but the charges did not keep long.
