The Nonnenbach in the literature

The German writer Martin Walser (* 1927 in Wasserburg am Bodensee) mentions the Nonnenbach both in his 1979 published novel soul work:

Bends of the nuns Bach he saw deep beneath the corner wood, litter meadows, alder. What a dark quiet places caused by the fact that the brook the shore in places wegfrißt, but it then has to stand at the next alder group again. Behind the root of such associations alder pulpits arise pure dark mirror. (...) Xaver was as a child, often for days on Nonnenbach down there and had bent most like about the quiet dark places in the creek bends. Had the arm into stretched and let him break from the water table.

And in the 1998's novel A gushing fountain

Hengnau ... and after going hamlet there are no more than three kilometers. A straight line. In reality, it goes behind Hengnau quite uphill, then through the forest Atzenbohl - deep down to Nonnenbach, on the Crooked bridge over and immediately quite steeply up to the hamlet, whose name is going hamlet.

And in his novel The Unicorn from 1966:

Tough ..., Anselm said, winds, as you can see, punctuated by too many alders, the Nonnenbach his silent story through the valley down.
