Norrporten Arena

GIF Sundsvall Sundsvall DFF

The Norrporten Arena is a football stadium in the Swedish town of Sundsvall. The stadium is the home ground of the Swedish second division club GIF Sundsvall and the women's soccer team Sundsvall DFF.

The current stadium was built in the years 2001 and 2002 and was on 9 June 2002 the Swedish King Carl XVI. Gustaf inaugurated. The stadium was first called, as before the order / new construction, simply Sundsvall Idrottspark ( dt: Sundsvall Sports Park ) and was renamed in January 2006 years in Norrporten Arena.

Besides the use as a sports venue, the stadium is also a venue for concerts.

Facts

  • The audience capacity is currently around 8,800 spectators. All are seats, of which 5,000 are covered.
  • The playing surface has dimensions of 105 x 68 m and consists of artificial turf.
  • The new stadium cost 150 million kroner.
