North Ridgeville is a city in Lorain County in the U.S. state of Ohio, about 30 km west of Cleveland. North Ridgeville has good 22,000 inhabitants (as of 2000 census ).
The City Council of North Ridgeville was recorded in 1974 as a cultural monument in the National Register of Historic Places ( NRHP).
History
The town was first settled in 1810 by immigrants from Waterbury (Connecticut). 1813 Ridgeville Township was established, but in 1958 received the township 's status as its own administrative unit ( "Village" ), and was renamed in North Ridgeville. In 1960 North Ridgeville with crossing the 5,000 -inhabitant threshold status as a city.
