The Northeast China Plain (东北 平原, Dongbei Pingyuan ) or Songliao level (松辽 平原, Song -Liao Pingyuan ) is located in Northeast China between the Great Hinggan Mountains, the little Hinggan Mountains and the Changbai Mountains. It extends from the middle reaches of the Nen Jiang (嫩江Nonni ) in the north to the Liaodong Bay of the Bohai Sea in the south over a length of about 1000 km, its greatest width in the east-west direction is 400 kilometers. With an area of ​​350,000 square kilometers, it is the largest of the three major levels in China. Essentially, it is formed by alluvial deposits of the rivers Liao He (辽河), Songhua Jiang (松花江Sungari ) and Nen Jiang.

Three parts

The Northeast China Plain consists of the following three parts: ( 1 ) the Songnen level in the river basin of the Songhua Jiang and Nen Jiang ( Nonni ), ( 2 ) the Liaohe level in the catchment area of ​​the Liao He, and ( 3 ) the is Sanjiang - level (" Three Rivers level " in the area of the confluence of the Songhua Jiang, Ussuri and Heilong Jiang ( Amur ). the majority of the level is lower than 200 meters, the relative height is between 20 and 50 meters. in Changchun the watershed of the rivers Songhua Jiang ( Sungari ) and Liao He. to the south it is called Liaohe plain, north of it Songnen level.

Climate

Summers are warm and rainy, the temperature is low in winter with a long period of cold weather. Spring is very short.

Agriculture

The floor made of black soil is very fertile. There are mainly cultivated soybean, sorghum, wheat, rice water, sugar beet and oilseed rape. It has become the most important agricultural area of China.

Mineral resources

In mineral resources, there are oil and coal deposits, coastal salt is obtained.

Places

Important places in the North China Plain are Anshan, Changchun, Daqing, Fushun, Fuxin, Harbin, Jilin, Qiqihar and Shenyang.
