The Nou Estadi de Tarragona is the municipal stadium of the Spanish city of Tarragona. Tarragona is the capital of the eponymous province in the south of the autonomous region of Catalonia. The venue was inaugurated on February 2, 1972, holds 14,500 spectators. The football team of Gimnàstic de Tarragona wears in the sports center of their home games. The stadium with the roofed, two-storey grandstand is located on the outskirts of Tarragona. The plant is fully equipped with seats; the alternating blocks in red and white are kept.

Until the 2005/06 season the arena offered 12,000 spectators. By División promotion to the Primera; the highest Spanish football league; was placed on the opposite stand a spectator rank. This increased the capacity to 14,500 seats currently valid. Next to the stadium is a football field with artificial turf; a tennis facility with multiple locations and behind the main grandstand is a small training ground.

It is planned to build in the near future a new stadium in Tarragona with around 17,000 seats. The construction of the stadium has been postponed to the end of 2009 some years.
