Nové Hrady (Ústí nad Orlicí District)

Novohradský ( German Neuschloß ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located in eastern Bohemia, 13 km west of Litomyšl and belongs to the Okres Ústí nad Orlicí on.

History

The 1293 first mentioned place Bozi Dum originated in 1200 below a hill with the castle of the same. Bozi Dum belonged to the diocese Leitomischl and later to the monastery Podlažice. Zdeniek Kostka of Postupice built in the middle of the 15th century next to the old castle now designated a new castle, whose name Novohradský was transferred to the place.

1731 founded the owner of Neuschloß, Count Johann Ludwig von Harbuval - Chamaré Neuschloss, the brewery that produced until 1924. His son Johann Anton Joseph Harbuval - Chamaré (1737-1808) ordered the construction of the a 4.85 -hectare baroque park surrounded castle Novohradský in the years 1773-1777.

Until December 31, 2006 Novohradský belonged to Okres Chrudim.

The municipality Novohradský include the districts Mokrá Lhota ( Mokralhota ) Rybníček ( Ribnitschek ) and Roudná.
