Nowy Klukom

Nowy Klukom ( German New Klücken, also Neuklücken ) is a village in the rural community Krzęcin ( Kranzin ) in a circle Choszozno ( Arnswalde ) in Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Geographical location

The village is situated in the Neumark about 2 kilometers north of the village Krzęcin ( Kranzin ), 10 kilometers southeast of Choszozno ( Arnswalde ) and 70 kilometers south-east of Szczecin ( Stettin).

History

New Klücken was originally a manor, which had already in 1460 belongs to the noble family of Blankensee. As the owner of 1488 Hans Blankensee the Younger was called.

The very small village had early on a school that operation of the school holder. Since the beginning of the 18th century, was raised by the students of the village no more school fees, because a captain of Blankensee had donated a share capital in the amount of seven hundred rix-dollars, the interest of the school support received, the sure the students had to teach for free.

In 1930 there were in the small village of 18 residential buildings with a total of 36 households.

When the Neumark had been made in 1945 after the invasion of the Red Army under Polish administration, the German village of New Klücken was renamed in Nowy Klukom. It started the immigration of Poland, and the German inhabitants were expelled in the following months due to the so-called Bierut Decrees of New Klücken.

  • Christian Friedrich Wutstrack ( * ca 1764 † 1809 /13), teachers, topographer and writer, was born in New Klücken.
