NSB Class 70

As a Type 70, also NSB BM70, an electric multiple unit of the Norwegian State Railways NSB is called.

It is a four-part composition of the motor car BFM, two intermediate cars B and a control car ABS.

Area of ​​application

( Gjøvikbanen ) - - The cars are on the track Lillehammer - ( Dovrebanen ) - Oslo - ( Drammenbanen ) - Drammen - ( Vestfoldbanen ) - Skien and on the route Oslo Gjøvik used.

The units can be coupled quickly thanks to the automatic Scharfenberg couplers. It is possible to couple up to three units of the type BM70 and BM69 type.

Construction

The multiple unit always consists of a BFM, two B, and an ABS.

The unit can be separated because of the closed car transfer only in the workshop.

BFM

The motor car has a large luggage compartment, a Zugbegleiterabteil and 28 seats, 2nd class

B

The two intermediate cars have 80 seats, 2nd class and a toilet. The seating is designed as a theater-style and can largely the direction of travel to be adjusted.

ABS

The control car is equipped with 28 seats 1st class. They have tables and sockets (220 V 50 Hz) and a service compartment for the catering company. There is also a disabled toilet and a second - class compartment with 16 seats and two wheelchair spaces.
