Nuneaton and Bedworth

Nuneaton and Bedworth is a local government district with the status of a borough in the county of Warwickshire in England. It consists of the towns of Nuneaton ( administrative seat ) and Bedworth and Bulkington village. Cities partnerships with Cottbus in Germany, Spain and Guadalajara in Roanne in France.

The district was formed on 1 April 1974 and evolved from the merger of the Municipal Borough of Nuneaton and Bedworth Urban District ( to which also belonged Bulkington ). First, the district Borough of Nuneaton was called; after complaints of the inhabitants of Bedworth 's name was changed in 1980.
