Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan

Nura - Lord of the Yokai (Japaneseぬらりひょんの孫, Nurarihyon no Mago, dt " Nurarihyon's grandson ") is a manga series written and illustrated by Hiroshi Shiibashi. It appears since 2008 in Japan and is classified under the genres of action and mystery. A companion CD to the manga series was published in December 2009. Since 2010, two anime adaptations were produced by Studio Deen.

Action

Rikuo Nura is part human and a quarter Yōkai (demon ). He lives with his Yōkai -grandfather in a house that is filled with ghosts and demons. Rikuo Nura is trying to escape his fate as Yōkai by does good deeds, even though his grandfather wishes he will succeed him as master of the Nura Clan Yōkai. Throughout the series is Rikuo Nura reconciled to his demonic lineage and decides to accept the position at the head of the clan. Various interest groups, however, try to stop him, or even take his position. To fight his position in the clan must therefore be a group of friends and comrades unite under his banner, and thus establish a new Hyakki Yakō.

Publication

The manga was first published as a one-shot in 2007, but was then expanded from March 2008 to January 2013 continuously to the series in the Japanese manga magazine Weekly Shōnen Jump. The single chapter summarized the Shueisha publishing regular anthologies together, of which 25 are published.

The manga was published in the spring of 2011 under license in the United States. Since 8 March 2012, the manga is in Germany under the title Nura - published Lord of the Yokai at Kazé, so far with 13 volumes. There are also translations into Chinese and French.

Anime

Nurarihyon no Mago

Studio Deen adapted the series into an anime television series directed by Junji Nishimura. The first broadcast took place from July 6 to December 28, 2010 after midnight (and thus on the previous TV day ) on Yomiuri TV in the Kinki region instead. Nurarihyon no Mago - Sennen Makyo

Success

The first volume of the manga series made ​​it to number 9 of Tohan Manga Charts, the third volume reached number 5, the fourth volume reached number 10, number 9, the fifth and the sixth place 8. Each volume since the Third sold over 100,000 copies each.
