The Nüschenstock is a mountain east of Tierfehd ( Linthal ) in the canton of Glarus in Switzerland with an altitude of 2'893 m above sea level. M.

Location

The Nüschenstock belongs to the House floor group, a subgroup of the Glarus Alps. The summit is located entirely on the municipality of Glarus Süd.

Among the neighboring peaks include the Rüchi, the Scheidstöckli, the Hintersulzhorn, the Ruchi, the Muttenstock and Selbsanft.

Valley location is Linthal, frequent starting point is the Muttseehütte.

Routes to the summit

From the South

  • Starting point: Tierfehd (803 m), Kalktrittli ( 1,860 m) or Muttseehütte ( 2,501 m)
  • Via: South-west
  • Difficulty: BG
  • Time: 6 hours from Tierfehd, 3 ½ hours from Kalktrittli or 1 hour from the Muttseehütte.
  • Note: Until Kalktrittli can be driven with the cable car of the power plants Linth Limmern.

From the West

  • Starting point: Linthal (662 m), Tierfehd (803 m) or Kalktrittli ( 1,860 m)
  • Via: Use wells, west ridge
  • Difficulty: BG
  • Time: 8 hours of Linthal, 6 hours from Tierfehd or 3 ½ hours from Kalktrittli
  • Comments: Suitable for the descent, a lot of debris and rubble.

From the North

  • Starting point: Rüchi ( 2,850 m)
  • Difficulty: BG
  • Time: ½ hour
