The Nyköpingsån is a river in Sweden south of Stockholm.

It has its origin in the lake Tisaren in the historical province of Orebro. It flows in an easterly direction. Here it flows through the lakes Sottern, Kolsnaren, viruses, and Yngaren Långhalsen and flows Nyköping in the Baltic Sea. The cities Vingåker and Katrine Holm are due to its river. Its length including source rivers is 157 km. The catchment area of ​​3631.6 km ² comprises Nyköpingsån.

The largest tributary is the Husbyån which drains the lake Båven.

In the lower reaches of the Nyköpingsån to sea trout and salmon can be caught by fly fishing.
