The upper Winterthur train station ( 457 m asl) is a rail station in Winterthur circuit 2 of the city. The just -built railway station is the terminus of three regional bus interchange station for a commuter. North of the station is located in the Hegmatten Zugunterhaltungsanlage upper Winterthur. There, the double-decker trains the Zurich S-Bahn and the Stadler compositions are waiting Flirt and GTW. Later, a vehicle maintenance for third parties is planned.

S -Bahn lines
The station is serviced by four lines of the S -Bahn Zurich.
- S 8 ( Weinfelden - ) Winterthur HB - Wallisellenstrasse - Zurich HB - Pfäffikon
- S 12 Brugg - Zurich HB - Winterthur HB - Seuzach / lakes (only every hour, every half hour offset from Winterthur HB to Winterthur -Seen )
- S 29 Winterthur HB - Stein am Rhein
- S 30 Winterthur HB - Frauenfeld - Weinfelden ( - Roman Horn - Rorschach )
Night trains
The upper Winterthur station is serviced by a " Nightliner " of Thurbo. The way to Stein am Rhein is served by no night trains but only by several night bus lines.

Station "Bahnhof Winterthur top »
This is the actual bus station to the train station and is located on the side of the station building. The first three lines belong to the city network and the other three are regional lines with upper Winterthur final stop. Here, the yellow line is a 615 operated by postal bus while the other two regional lines of local bus.
From 1931 to 1951, the upper Winterthur train station was also the end point of the line 1 tram Winterthur, this was replaced by the up to now circulating trolleybus line 1, but today runs to the outskirts.
Station " Hegifeld »
The station Hegifeld is located on the opposite part of the tracks and the station building, but is also connected by means of an underpass at the railway station and the station platforms.
* The post bus runs three times a day as an endpoint Girenbad in Turbenthal.
Night lines
The night bus N65 (HB - upper lakes - Hegi - Elsau - Wiesendangen ) also operated the station Hegifeld, but only for disembarking.
