Geography

Oberwinterthur forms the northeastern city of Winterthur. The center of the city of the district is an old, largely intact village center with half-timbered houses and cobblestone streets on the already inhabited in historical times Kirchhügel. History

The upper Winterthur church hill is probably the site of the earliest settlement of the town of Winterthur. It is believed to have already settled here towards the end of the Ice Age people.
