Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race
The Obudu Mountain Run ( full name Obudu Ranch International Mountain Race, short Obudu Mountain Race ) is a mountain run in Obudu ( Cross River State, Nigeria ), which takes place on the Obudu Plateau since 2005.
The race was set up to promote the Obudu Mountain Resort as a tourist area. With 50,000 U.S. dollars prize money for the winner, it is considered the most lucrative mountain running world. Within this framework, the premiere of the mountain run - Africa Championship 2009 was held. In the 2010 host this championship was supplemented by a female title.
The distance is 11.5 km with a difference of 800 meters above sea level and is fully paved. The aim lies at 1600 m.
