Ohne (Wipper)

The Without is an approximately 14 km long right tributary of the Wipper, in the north of Thuringia, Germany.

Course

Without the springs in the district of calibration field at the foot of the ridge fertilizer. Your source is in Kallmerode in the calibration field. From there, the Without in predominantly eastward flows. In Birkungen the Without in the dam Birkungen dammed. After flowing through Niederorschel of flows between them Gernrode and Bernterode in the Wipper.

Name

The name of the stream can not yet be explained. The only existing documentary evidence dates from the year 900 and is an indirect form ( Gau Ohnfelt ).
