Okay (Band)

Okay (often OK, OK, OK or written! ) Is a German pop band that was active mainly in the 1980s.

Career

The band was founded in 1985 in Frankfurt am Main from the then 16 -year-old singer Marcus Gabler together with keyboardist Christian Berg initially under the name ' Couleur Trois '. Couleur Trois opened their concerts with a collage of different voice recordings, which garnered Marcus Gabler over a period of two years. Single-handedly he developed from these sound snippets in the spring of 1987 the title Okay! . On 1 June 1988, the debut single Okay reached! # 2 in the German Single Charts. In May 1988, the second single EDUCATION, with the same team as Okay! Appeared was recorded. Basis of the title this time were samples of language courses and cassettes.

In the autumn of 1989 saw the album Bang! Containing the three previously released singles and eight (or as a CD release ten) more songs. Was recorded Bang! over a period of about eight weeks in London's Berwick Street Studios, producer Rod Gammons was. It followed other publications in the years 1990 and 1991.

In March 2008, 20 years after the chart debut of Okay! , The band has reunited for an appearance for the festival cult of the 80 in the original cast.
