Old Dutch Foods is a family business based in Roseville, Minnesota, that manufactures chips and snacks in the Midwestern United States and Canada and sells. Among the best known products Old Dutch Potato Chips, Dutch Crunch, Ripples and Restaurante Style Tortilla Chips are.

History

The company was founded in 1934 as Old Dutch Products Co. in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 1937 it moved to Minneapolis. 1968, the company based in the suburb of Roseville was relocated.

Old Dutch came in 1954 with the opening of the first manufacturing facility in Winnipeg, Manitoba in the Canadian market. To date, the corporate headquarters for Canada is there. Old Dutch initially worked only in western Canada. With the acquisition of Humpty Dumpty Snack Foods for 26.7 million Canadian dollars, the market position was strengthened and the market expansion will be driven in eastern Canada.

In both countries, Old Dutch acts as an independent company. In the United States it operates under the name Old Dutch Foods, Inc., and in Canada as Old Dutch Foods Ltd.. There are two operated five manufacturing facilities in Canada and the United States.
