Oldřich Kaiser

Oldrich Kaiser ( born May 16, 1955 in Liberec, Czechoslovakia) is a Czech actor.

Biography

Oldrich Kaiser studied at the Brno Conservatoire and at the Theater Faculty of the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, where he graduated in 1978, made spectacle. From 1977 to 1985 he was on the stage of the Studio Ypsilon, where he starred alongside actors such as Jiří Lábus and Martin Dejdar theater. From 1993 to 1999 he played at the Prague Narodni Divadlo. His screen debut was in the 1973 published and directed by Karel Kachyňa love on the side of Milena Dvorská and Jiří Pleskot. For his portrayal of old January Dítě Jiří Menzel's History in a movie I have served the King of England Emperor was nominated for Best Actor at the presentation of Czech Film Awards Bohemian lion in 2007. Three other nominations followed in 2011 and 2012 for Best Supporting Actor for his performances in Pouta (2010), Odcházení (2011) and Vendeta ( 2011).

From 1980 to 2005 the Emperor was married to Czech actress Nada Konvalinková. Together, they are parents of the Czech actress Karolina Kaiserová (* 1983).
