Oleg Butman

Oleg Butman Mikhailovich (Russian Олег Михайлович Бутман, born July 9, 1966 in Leningrad ) is a Russian jazz drummer.

Oleg Butman is the younger brother of jazz saxophonist Igor Butman, with whom he worked repeatedly. At eight, he began playing the drums, with 15 years he was a member of the Russian rock band " Telewisor ".

In 1983, Oleg Butman started on Mussorgsky College of Music to study in St. Petersburg and played in the College Orchestra. During this time he performed at the St. Petersburg Jazz Festival with saxophonist Valery Sukow.
