Olena Hovorova

Olena Howorowa (Ukrainian Олена Говорова, English transcription Olena Hovorova, . Born September 18, 1973 in Izmail ) is a former Ukrainian triple jumper and Olympic bronze medalist.

The bronze medal winner at the Junior World Championships 1992 at the World Athletics Championships in 1995 and tenth in the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta ninth.

At the 1997 World Championships she won the bronze medal at the Universiade 1997 and 1999 gold. The European Athletics Championships 1998, she came in sixth in the World Championships in 1999 to seventh place.

At the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 she won with her personal best of 14.96 m the bronze medal behind Teresa Marinowa (BUL ) and Tatyana Lebedeva (RUS ).

Other achievements include a tenth place at the 2001 World Championships, a seventh place finish at the 2003 World Championships and a tenth place at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens.
