Olga Hahn-Neurath

Olga Hahn- Neurath ( born July 20, 1882 in Vienna, † 30 July 1937 in The Hague) was an Austrian mathematician and philosopher who is best known for her membership in the Vienna Circle. She was the sister of the mathematician Hans Hahn.

Hahn- Neurath wrote in 1902 a for a math and philosophy at the University of Vienna. In 1911 she became the third philosophy graduate from the University of Vienna at all. Her dissertation was highly praised by reviewers Adolf Stöhr, successor in the chair by Ludwig Boltzmann. In 1912 she married Otto Neurath, whom she met during her studies. Olga, the totally blind at the age of 22 years due to optic neuritis, in 1924 became a regular participant in the discussions in the Vienna Circle. During the events of February 1934 she was in Moscow and emigrated with her husband by Poland and Denmark to the Netherlands, where she died three years later.
