Olga Petrova

Olga Petrova, a native Muriel Hardin, ( born May 10, 1884 in Liverpool, † 30 November 1977, in Clearwater, Florida) was an English actress, screenwriter and playwright.

Life

Born as Muriel Harding in England, she moved at a young age in the United States and became a star with the stage name Olga Petrova. Petrova began her career in vaudeville before moving to film. Petrova played the role of a femme fatale in a series of films for Solax Studios and Metro Pictures in general. Most of her films are no longer available. She also wrote numerous screenplays.

In the 1920s, she wrote three plays and toured the country with a theater group. In 1923 she wrote the drama and also played the lead role in the play Hurricane, which was a great success in New York. The play was staged in Los Angeles and performed with great success by the end of 1925.

In 1942, she published her autobiography, titled Butter With My Bread.

She died in 1977 at the age of 93 years. In 1960 she was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
