Omar Naber

Omar Naber (born 7 July 1981 in Ljubljana as Omar Kareem ) is a Slovenian pop singer.

His mother, a music teacher, Slovenian, his father is a dentist and originates from Jordan. Omar Naber is a skilled dental technician, by the way he does since the age of 16 years of music. Today he is solo as active with his band Kareem.

Encouraged by Matjaž Vlasic from the record company Nika Records, he took on Slovenian television at the talent show bitka talentov ( "Battle of Talents " ) and won this.

Connected to the victory was a preliminary decision to participate in the Slovenian Euro Vision Song Contest 2005. With nearly 30,000 votes with a total of 14 participants, he won the phone vote in the preliminary round just for themselves. This Naber joined with the self- composed song stop in May 2005 in the qualifying round of the Euro Vision Song Contest in Kiev on, but could not qualify for the final itself.

Naber plays piano and guitar, also writes the lyrics he composes and some songs himself in his home and sometimes abroad, he is a teenager idol, though his CDs practically only in Slovenia are available.

In 2009 he again took part in the Slovenian preliminary decision to Euro Vision Song Contest.
