Ömer Çelik

Ömer Çelik ( born June 15, 1968 in Adana) is a Turkish political scientist, journalist, politician and President since January 25, 2013 Minister of Culture and Tourism in the Cabinet Erdoğan III.

Çelik graduated from the Department of Public Administration at the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences at the Gazi Üniversitesi in Ankara. He received his university degree in political science at the Faculty of Social Sciences, Ankara Üniversitesi. As columnist Omer Celik worked in newspapers Yeniyüzyıl, Star and Sabah. He is a political adviser to the chairman of the AKP. Çelik was in the 22nd legislature deputy of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey for the province of Adana and is in the 23 legislature also deputy same province.

Beginning of 2013 he was drafted by the Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan in his cabinet, which he replaced the then Minister of Culture and Tourism Ertuğrul Günay.

Ömer Çelik speaks English and is unmarried.
