Omid Nouripour

Omid Nouri Pour (Persian امید نوری پور [ omi ː d nu ː ri ː pu ː r]; born June 18, 1975 in Tehran, Iran) is a German -Iranian politicians ( Alliance 90/The Greens ) and a member of the German parliament ( Bundestag ).

Life and career

In August 1988, Nouri Pour left with his family to Iran and went to Frankfurt am Main. Here he graduated in 1996 graduated from the Bettinaschule. Then he began a study of German philology, with minors in political science and law at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, which he added a second degree in sociology, philosophy and economics in 1997. He has not completed both courses.

Nevertheless, he was, among other things out in official parliamentary biographies as " doctoral candidate in German ," which earned him the title of informers by the Bild newspaper in the issue of 21 November 2008 in the Bundestag. Nouripour since 2002, German citizen and has continued to the Iranian nationality. In his spare time, he sometimes occurs as a rapper under the name " MC Omid " on.

Party

Since 1996 he is a member of the Greens. It engaged itself first in the Young Greens, the Hessian state chairman he was from 1999 to 2003 and in the migrants initiative ImmiGrün. During this time, he also belonged to the State Executive Committee of the Green Party in Hesse. From 2002 to 2010 he was speaker of the Federal Association of migrants and refugees.

At the federal delegates conference on December 8, 2002 Nouripour was chosen together with Katja Husen as assessor in the Federal Executive of Alliance 90/The Greens. He was re-elected in Kiel end of 2004. On 2 December 2006, he took not back in, and Malte Spitz became his successor.

Nouri Pour was a member of the right-wing Committee of the Federal Executive of Alliance 90/The Greens.

Member of Parliament

On 1 September 2006 he moved to the retired deputies Joschka Fischer on the state list of Hesse in the Bundestag after. At first he was a member of the European Affairs Committee and from 2008 to the 2009 federal election a member of the household and defense committee.

Pour Nouri is a member of the board of Atlantic Bridge as well as a member of the European Union Parliamentarians German Bundestag. In addition, Nouri Pour assessors on the board of the German Atlantic Association. Until February 2014 he sat for several years on the Advisory Board of the Forum for Intercultural Dialogue eV ( FID ), whose honorary chairman of the Islamic preacher Fethullah Gülen is. Pour Nouri is Chairman of the bundesadler eV, the fan club Eintracht Frankfurt in the German Bundestag.
