The vocals of Nick Holmes was now completely clean. The album was recorded with Ulf " Sank " Sandqvist in London and Wales.

Reception

Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic wrote, fans of early Paradise Lost should be approached with caution. But there was no way to deny the quality of this radical but impressive departure. He forgave four out of five stars. Rock-Hard - editor Holger Stratmann summed up: " Sometimes one would have still wanted a few more guitar tips and Blood of Another also a similarly banal track as the last-time single The Last Time is represented, but overall One Second is to my mind a round and exciting rock album of the highest class. " the rating was nine out of ten.
