Tragic Idol is the 13th studio album by the English band Paradise Lost. It was released on April 20, 2012 in Germany, on April 23 in the rest of Europe and on 24 April 2012 in the United States.
Formation and style
The album was recorded with Jens Bogren in Lincolnshire. Guitarist Gregor Mackintosh saw it influenced by classic doom metal and "Classic Metal". He described it as melodic than the previous album, but it keep the " heaviness ". On February 1, 2012, designed by Parisian designer Valnoir Cover was presented. The album is available in the following versions: standard CD with 10 songs, limited " Deluxe Box" with bonus CD, 12 " vinyl, Fanbox with the limited edition, 12 " and 7 " vinyl, posters and cap.
