Oonurme

Oonurme is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Tudulinna ( Tudulinna vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The street village with its many thatched cottages has 71 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

The most famous son of the town is the Estonian writer and conservationist Juhan Lepasaar. He was born in 1921 on the farm belonging to Oonurme " Lepasaare talu ".
