Roostoja

Roostoja is a village (Estonian küla ) in the rural community Tudulinna ( Tudulinna vald ). It is located in Ida -Viru county (East Wierland ) in northeastern Estonia.

Description and History

The village has 31 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2011).

It is located on the same small stream, the Roostoja oja. Its name comes from the reddish (because ferrous ) bog water coming from the nearby swamp.

A memorial stone in the town commemorates the residents of Roostoja who have come by Stalinism 1941-1956 killed.
