Opařany

Opařany until 1923 Opořany ( German Woporschan ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located 15 kilometers west of Tábor in southern Bohemia and belongs to Okres Tábor.

Geography

Opařany is located in the Central Bohemian hills on a ridge between the valleys of Smutná and Oltyňský creek. Through the village leads the state road I/29 between Tabor and Pisek.
