Opus (Schiller album)

Opus is the eighth album of the musical project Schiller. In this album Schiller is working with the Russian soprano Anna Netrebko Yuryevna, the French pianist Hélène Grimaud and the German oboist Albrecht Mayer.

The album contains a mixture of instrumental music and electronic sounds very many shares of classical music. These include an oboe solo from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Solveig's Song from Peer Gynt Suite and Claude Debussy's Reverie, partially in several variations.

The length of 1 hours and 49 minutes refers to the offered on the Internet download versions, such as an MP3 file. The album contains only 14 pieces of music. In addition, there is a deluxe version with two CDs.
