Orăștioara de Sus

Orăştioara de Sus [ orɘʃtioara de sus ] ( German upper Brooserbach, Hungarian Felsővárosviz ) is a municipality in the district of Hunedoara in Transylvania, Romania.

The place is also known as the Hungarian names Felsővárosvize, Városviz and Városvize.

Geographical location

The community Orăştioara de Sus is located with its eight villages and scattered settlements in the southwest of the Transylvanian basin northwest of the Sureanu Mountains ( Muhlbacher Mountains), in the historical region of the county Hunyad (county iron market ) in the chair district Szászváros. History
