Orbitel (Bulgarian company)

Orbitel ( Bulgarian Орбител ) is a telecommunications service provider and Internet service provider that specializes in broadband offers and has its own infrastructure. It is currently the second largest fixed line telecommunications company in Bulgaria. Since mid-2006 Orbitel products are available in over 35 cities.

German Telekom

In early 2006, has strengthened its Eastern European business with the acquisition of the Bulgarian Orbitel the German Telekom. The purchase price for the largest alternative fixed-line and Internet providers in Bulgaria amounts to eight million euro, the Hungarian Telekom subsidiary Magyar Telekom announced in Budapest. The company mainly supplies business customers. Telekom wants to expand its existing business and in the coming years Orbitel wants to invest seven million euros. The, based in Budapest, Magyar Telekom Telekom serves as a vehicle for expansion into Eastern Europe.
