Orders, decorations, and medals of Canada
This list contains the official orders and medals of Canada. The Canadian honors system is modeled on the British model, but increased after 1967 ( 100th anniversary of the founding of the state and the introduction of the Order of Canada) another development. All awards will be presented on behalf of the Canadian monarch, who is represented by the Governor General of Canada. In addition to the awards of the State there are also those of the provinces.
Order of the State
Order at the federal level will be awarded by the monarch or the governor-general. The awardees are entitled to use her name abbreviations that identify their status (post - nominal letters ).

Order of the provinces
Each of the ten Canadian provinces introduced after 1967 own Order. They are all einklassig, with the exception of dreiklassigen Order of Quebec. Awarded they are those noticed in the respective provinces by special services. The ceremony is performed by the respective Vice- Governor.
