Oreste Biancoli

Oreste Biancoli ( born February 20, 1897 in Bologna, † November 25, 1971 in Rome ) was an Italian screenwriter and film director.

Life

Biancoli studied law and worked 1919-1926 as a journalist in the editorial staff of Il Resto del Carlino. Then he wrote for various media and began in 1928 to work for the theater; often in cooperation with Dino Falconi he wrote many comedies that have been performed by various theater groups and met with great interest. Soon she wrote for Mario Mattoli, played under the Vittorio de Sica, Umberto Melnati. After the 2nd World War Biancoli and Falconi installed on political satires.

In addition to his theater work Biancoli 1930 had written a first script for the big screen: Il cuore del richiamo was filmed in 1930. In 1932, he wrote for numerous films, including classics such as The Bandit, The Bicycle Thief - the parties were in 1949 awarded the Nastro d' Argento - or Don Camillo ( without mention ), but also many genre goods until he in 1964 by the Working withdrew.

Biancoli also shot about ten movies on their own; one of them dear unfinished and none left lasting traces in the Italian film history.
