Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d'Automobiles

The Organisation Internationale des Constructeurs d' Automobiles ( OICA ) ( German to International Automobile Manufacturers Association ) was founded in Paris in 1919. She is known worldwide for development and dissemination of statistics and other information of a large number of car fans. Published every year in August, the OICA numbers for delivery of vehicles of each of the respective corporations last year. This list is known worldwide as the official scale for the classification of the size and importance of automotive companies.

As the umbrella organization of 35 national member associations on five continents, the OICA represents the interests of the global automotive industry. It is to be regarded as a lobbying organization of international standing, trying to establish their global strategies and Standtpunkte.
