Oscar Cruz

Oscar V. Cruz ( born November 17, 1934 in Balanga City ) is retired Archbishop of Lingayen - Dagupan.

Life

Oscar V. Cruz received on 10 February 1962, the ordination. Pope Paul VI. appointed him on March 4, 1976 in Manila Auxiliary Bishop and Titular Bishop of Martirano.

He received his episcopal consecration by the Apostolic Nuncio to the Philippines, Bruno Torpigliani, on 22 May of the same year; Jaime Lachica Cardinal Sin were co-consecrators, Archbishop of Manila, and Artemio G. Casas, Archbishop of Jaro.
