The eastern end is a 4'632 m above sea level. M. high, little independent Gratzacke in Switzerland. You will be exceeded on the Dufour peak over the eastern ridge of the silver saddle or saddle from the border of the ascent.

The eastern end was climbed for the first time in 1854, a year before the Dufour Peak, Christopher Smyth, James G. Smyth and Edmund Smyth. At that time it was not yet clear which of the two peaks, the higher was (actual height difference under two meters).
