Otto Bollinger

Otto Ritter von Bollinger ( born April 2, 1843 in Old Churches, county Palatinate, Kingdom of Bavaria; † August 13, 1909 in Munich) was a German anatomist and pathologist.

Life

Bollinger studied medicine at the University of Munich. Since 1863 he was a member of the Corps Suevia Munich. After living in Vienna (Carl von Rokitansky ) and Berlin (Rudolf Virchow ) he was habilitated in 1870 in Munich with the work.

1874 Professor of General Pathology, Pathological Anatomy and Pathological Histology of the Central Veterinary School and simultaneously appointed as an associate professor of comparative pathology at the Medical Faculty of the University of Munich.

From 1880 he was Chair of General Pathology and Pathological Anatomy of the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Munich. He looked after including the thesis of Erich von Redwitz, which was awarded by the Faculty of Medicine as the price work.
