Ovidiu Cornel Hanganu

Ovidiu Cornel Hanganu ( born May 12, 1970 in Ghelari, Hunedoara County ) is a former Romanian football player. He played a total of 229 games in the Romanian Divizia A, the Belgian Eerste Klasse and the Turkish Süper Lig

Career

Ovidiu Hanganu began his career with his hometown club Corvinul Hunedoara, where he aufrückte 1986 into the first team at the age of 16 years. On October 12, 1986, he was there against Jiul Petrosani his debut. It should be the only players remain in the 1986/87 season. It was not until the following season he came to more inserts.

In 1989 Hanganu got the opportunity to switch to a romanian top team, and joined Victoria Bucharest. After the Romanian Revolution of 1989 Victoria was dissolved by the new government so that Hanganu returned during the winter break in 1989/90 to Corvinul. In the 1990/91 season, where he achieved his greatest success of his career when he was able to win the Romanian top scorer with 24 goals.

After Corvinul was relegated in the following season from the Divizia A, Hanganu changed again to a Romanian top club, the reigning champions Dinamo Bucharest. The title defense failed and Hanganu was given the opportunity to go abroad, where he signed a contract with Belgian first division side Cercle Brugge. Already during the winter break 1993/94 he moved but for a fee of $ 350,000 in Turkey to Samsunspor, but there was hardly used and returned to the 1994/95 season back to Cercle Brugge.

As time went sporty unsatisfactory in Belgium, Hunganu already changed in January 1995 back to Romania and joined FC Naţional Bucharest, where he indeed win the 1996 runner-up, but could not build on his earlier achievements. After another year at Corvinul Hunedoara Hunganu finished his career in 1997. In the 2001 /02 season, he completed a few games for Minerul Certej, which played into the Divizia C. He then settled in Italy and there earned his living as a construction worker. From his wife, with whom he has a daughter, he is now living separately.

National

Ovidiu Hunganu played between 1991 and 1993 a total of 12 games for the Romanian national football team. His start he gave on 23 May 1991 against Norway.
