Ovidiu Herea

Nicolae Ovidiu Hereâ ( born March 26, 1985 in Bucharest ) is a Romanian football player. The midfielder has played 230 games in the highest Romanian Football League, the League 1 Since summer 2013 he is at FC Sion under contract.

Career

The career of Ovidiu Hereâ began in his hometown of Bucharest FC Naţional Bucharest. On August 16, 2003, he arrived there his first appearance in Divizia A (now League 1). After he came in his first two seasons seldom used, he was able to develop in the course of the 2005/ 06 first-team regular. In the following season he scored his first goals, yet Naţional rose at the end of the season out of the league from 1.

After the descent Hereâ moved in 2007 to local rivals and reigning Cup champion Rapid Bucharest. After a third place in the 2007/ 08 season the club but fell back into midfield and struggling since then to the connection to the top league. In 2011 he qualified with Rapid in fourth place again for the Europa League. He himself contributed eleven goals to what is the best strike rate of his career. He repeated a year later this success. At the same time, he and his team a the cup final in 2012, but it lost to Dinamo Bucharest 0-1.

In 2013 Hereâ moved to FC Sion in the Swiss Super League.

National

Hereâ played twice for the Romanian national football team. He made his debut on 3 September 2010 at the European Championship qualifier against Albania when he came on in the 77th minute for Răzvan Cociş. After nearly a year's break, he came on 10 August 2011 against San Marino on his second.
