Ożarowice
Ożarowice is a village located in powiat tarnogórski in Silesia, Poland. Ożarowice is seat of the rural commune ( gmina wiejska ).

Geography
Ożarowice lies on the northern edge of the Upper Silesian plate, about 24 km north of Katowice and 15 km east of the county town of Tarnów Gory.
History
Ożarowice the same Gmina was only issued on 1 January 1997, previously it belonged to the Gmina Tapkowice.
From 1975 - 1998 the village belonged to Katowice Voivodeship.
Community
Geography
The municipality has a surface area of 42.73 km ². 67 % of its territory is used for agriculture, 14 % is covered by forest. It borders the cities Miasteczko Śląskie, Siewierz and Woźniki and to the villages Bobrowniki, Koziegłowy, Mierzęcice and Świerklaniec.

The population of the town in 2005 was 1,532 Ożarowice.

Education
The municipality has two kindergartens ( Przedszkole ), two primary schools ( szkoła podstawowa ) and a middle school ( gimnazjum ).
In the village Ożarowice there is a kindergarten, a branch of the Library of the community, whose main office is located in Tapkowice, and the middle school.
