Paper Lace

Paper Lace was a British pop band of the 70s.

The group was founded in 1969 in Nottingham. Her first success in England in 1974 Billy Do not Be A Hero, a song that was released in America by the band Bo Donaldson & The Heywoods and there was also a runner. In the same year an almost equally successful hit was filed with The Night Chicago Died, who even went to # 1 in the United States. What followed were only minor hits.

1978, the group still managed a small notable success Caution: They sang together with the football club Nottingham Forest anthem We've Got The Whole World In Our Hands.

Shortly thereafter, the band Paper Lace to Lace named in - and fell into oblivion.

Heiner Müller processed The Night Chicago Died 1995 in his production of The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui by Bertolt Brecht at the Theater am Schiffbauerdamm (Berliner Ensemble ).
