Papyrus 62

Papyrus 62 ( Gregory- Aland Sigel 62 designates ) is an early copy of the Greek New Testament. The fragments of the papyrus manuscript containing a portion of Matthew's Gospel. There are verses remained receive 25 to 30 of the eleventh chapter. Using palaeography, it has been dated to the 4th century. Also, included Daniel 3, 51-53, this text has the Rahlfs number 0994th The papyrus was perhaps once part of an amulet.

The Greek text of this codex is a representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Kurt Aland placed it in Category II.

Storage

The fragments of the manuscript are currently being kept in the library of the University of Oslo under the inventory number 1661.
