Papyrus 7

Papyrus 7 ( according to the numbering of Gregory -Aland, also referred to as 7 ) is an early copy of the New Testament in Greek. It is a papyrus manuscript of the Gospel of Luke, chapter 4, verses 1 and 2 Very likely it is a patristic fragment.

Due to the state of the fragment, it is not easy to date it with the help of palaeography. It arranges it in the 4th to 6th centuries (and possibly 3rd century ).

The Greek text of this codex is too short to classify him. He probably representative of the Alexandrian text-type. Aland placed it in any of the categories of manuscripts of the New Testament.

At present it is kept in the National Library Wernadskyj Ukraine ( Petrov 553 ) in Kiev.
