Parazenidae
Cyttopsis rosea
The Parazenidae are a family of Peter Fishy ( Zeiformes ). The fish live in the Atlantic, Indian and Pacific Oceans at depths of 140-700 meters. The family is divided into two sub-families, the Cyttopsinae and the monotypic Parazeninae.
Features
The types of Parazenidae are eight to 31 inches long. You have a laterally flattened, covered with small ctenoid scales body and 34 vertebrae. Your premaxilla is strong vorstreckbar.
Fins formula: Dorsal VI-VIII/26-30, Anal I/31, Ventral 1/6, 13-16 pectoral, caudal 11
The species of the family have two side lines, which unite behind the soft-rayed dorsal fin.
System
There are four types in three kinds, and two sub-families:
- Subfamily Cyttopsinae: Genus Cyttopsis ( Gill, 1862) Cyttopsis CYPHO ( Fowler, 1934)
- Stethopristes eos ( Gilbert, 1905)
- Genus Parazen ( Mr. Kamohara, 1935) Parazen pacificus ( Mr. Kamohara, 1935)
