Parmelia sulcata

Parmelia sulcata

Parmelia sulcata, sometimes called the German Sulcatflechte, is a frequently occurring in Central Europe Blattflechtenart.

Description

The species has blue-gray " leaves " with some almost square -acting demarcation. The leaflets have to edge a network of whitish lines on ( Pseudocyphellen ). This can break later columns Oral serving the vegetative spread. On the dark underside of the blackish adhesive fibers ( rhizines ) extend to the edge of the camp. Fruiting bodies ( apothecia ) are rarely trained.

Dissemination

Parmelia sulcata is widespread and occurs mainly on bark of deciduous trees, occasionally on rock. Due to their relative insensitivity to air pollutants and nitrogen compounds, it is often in cities, albeit partially poorly developed, to be found.
