Partially guyed tower

A hybrid tower is a tower, in which the lower part is designed as a free-standing structure as either a reinforced concrete tower or a lattice tower and the top part as a guyed structure. Such a construction, resulting from the combination of two different methods of construction will be referred to as a hybrid tower. It is especially used in wind turbines. This will be possible greater heights with more wind yield. The stability at such a tower heights will only be given if the tube would rise as well in the lower part of the tower diameter. Transportable dimensions would necessarily but exceeded by diameter of about 4 m. The bracing of the upper tower section provides a solution: Recording forces are thus shifted from the risk of bending the lower part of the tower in the then pulling power take- guy-ropes.
